One of the two docks that Samsung has released for their Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the Mult-Media Dock. It is made to compliment the aesthetics of the Tab 10.1 as well as handle some very useful functions. While it is called a “Multi-Media” dock, it really only natively outputs audio via the 3.5″ jack in the back of it. It also has an accessory port for charging the Tab 10.1. This port may also be used for connecting the HDTV Adapter or USB adapter, however I didn’t get a chance to test that functionality. Nonetheless, audio is the only native media this dock can host. That said, I really liked its simplicity. Personally I plan to get one ,(the one I reviewed was on loan from Samsung), to dock my Tab near my bed as an alarm and easy access to news and weather. This also works well if you want to use your Tab to run a photo slideshow as it can display photos and remain charging. If you are looking for a dock or stand for your Tab 10.1 this might fit the bill. For more information or to see it in action, check out my video review above.
