iPad & 4G, the perfect pair

The long age story of Apple and next generation wireless networks hasn’t been the best to tell. With the original iPhone only sporting Edge when 3G was merging everywhere and now where Apple has neglected to move their mobile devices to the much faster 4G LTE networks available by 3 of the 4 carriers. Now with the iPad 3 only weeks away from being announced, we decided to write up a simple post on 4G LTE and iPads.

The reason why Apple doesn’t like jumping ship to a more advanced network is maybe it’s not ready and it’s not available everywhere which they think is unfair to some of their customers that won’t be living in a 4G LTE area. That’s awfully kind of them, but I think the inclusion of 4G LTE will be even a stronger selling point.

And the iPad is an ideal device to have 4G LTE on. With 4G LTE radios, you have to have two of them, and the ideal spots are as far away as possible from each other to give you the best reception and speed. The further away they are, the better. And with the iPad being 9.7 inches big, that will make the 4G LTE 10 inches exactly away, diagonally. To wrap it up really, the iPad is almost for sure to support 4G LTE with both Verizon and AT&T’s networks being primed and readied for the official launch of the iPad 3.
