iPad 3′s Retina Display is Sharp?

Some leaked pictures of the iPad 3 digitizer reveals some information on who actually made the display. Usually Samsung makes the digitizer for Apple for the iPad, iPhone, and iPods, but maybe this display is too great or Samsung to conquer. But Sharp has been experts in packing amazing resolution into displays, and we are now thinking Sharp actually is making Apple’s 9.7-inch display with the resolution of 2,048 by 1,536. This is some crazy resolution, and if these rumors are true, we expect the iPad to gain around 1mm in thickness to accommodate the larger battery and the slightly thicker LCD Display by Sharp.

We also think the iPad 3 will be backlight by a dual-LED system to deliver equal and great looking content on a display of that size. This should be interesting on how this rolls out here. iPad 3, Sharp Partnership? Also in the leaked photos, shows the LCD panel perfectly fits the iPad 3 screw holes to hold it in place. Falls right in place around dock connecter, silent and volume buttons, headphone jack, and the lock switch.
