The Verge broke an interesting story which, well quite frankly turned the hunches and rumors that Google was making their own tablet into reality. They have very reliable sources telling them that Google has been working on a tablet and the first expected launch was some time in May with a price around $249. But now they are taking a step back and trying to lower the price as much as possible.
The tablet, made with Taiwan’s Asustek Computer, currently comes with a 7-inch screen, a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and is Wi-Fi-only. It will run Android 4.0, so no debuting Jelly Bean on here. The Mountain View Team is going back and tweaking the design with Asustek and trying to compete with the popular Kindle Fire for $199 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0, it may even be cheaper than those two tablets but kick their butts in performance! That would be sweet!
And finally, with talks and rumors that Cupertino is working on a miniature iPad, dubbed iPad Mini or something of that sort, they are really trying to get the crack down to be the first, now this does not mean they will be the first successful company to launch a small tablet, Amazon actually holds that title, but if the iPad Mini does ever come into existence, Apple will literally shake the whole market once again. Especially if the price is sub $300!
