Although this could come as a resounding ‘duh’ it should still be noted. 9to5mac is reporting that Apple is already testing the next major of iTunes that will support iOS 6. Most software companies always test internally software by letting employee try it before everyone else. If last year is any indication, we will see iOS 6 previewed at WWDC and then released with the next generation iPhone.
Whats also rumored to come with iTunes 11 is a major visual redesign which would be welcome considering that iTunes has been one of the only Apple products that has remained the same and has become increasingly more bloated. This overhaul is expected to happen in late summer to early fall.
The other part of this story is that iTunes 11 will have deep iCloud integration by having its own dedicated settings panel within iTunes where you can access iTunes Match, iTunes in the Cloud, iCloud iOS device backups and other options. Apple views iCloud as a long term investment so Im not surprised that iTunes will be built with iCloud in mind.
