Microsoft Kin One Review

We finally got our hands on a Kin One, and my previous statement of I like the Kin Two more than the Kin One is now FALSE!

I absolutely love the form factor of the phone. It feels good in the hand! I may not love the button lay out on the sides of the device, but the 2.5 inch screen is no problem to me, and the software as again, is something, new and fresh, but still has miles to improve to get my vote of this is the best phone on Verizon Wireless. Currently if you ask me what phone should I get on Verizon Wireless, my answer would be the HTC Incredible, whenever it comes out of back order.

The Kin OS is a little like MotoBlur. But revamped in every single way, and sometimes taken down a notch. Using this phone as a sole purpose of a Social Networking device both won, and failed. For the winning, this phone is excellent in giving you the latest of what you’re friends are doing, either it’s on FaceBook, Twitter, or whatever is out now!

I am a big Twitter person. And the fact of not being able to read my Direct Messages just ruins my parade on this phone. It doesn’t give you the full functions of say the app on iPhone or Android, or even PalmOS. Microsoft has always been one of the disappointing companies in the Mobile world, but they seem like they are getting there. Slowly but surely.

Overall I think this is up to you. It depends on what you are looking for in a phone. I would highly suggest you watch out reviews of this phone, and the Kin Two.

Verizon MiFi 2200 Review

So for the past week or so I had a chance to mess around with the MiFi 2200 on Verizon Wireless. And I was addicted to the product! I took my iPod Touch everywhere and was connected to the internet thanks to Verizon’s excellent coverage!

Speeds were pretty fast, loaded up videos on YouTube fast, I also watched a few videos via QuickTime stream, and it worked 100% without and lags, cuts.

Check out the video below to see this mobile WiFi hot spot in action!

Guitar Hero for iPhone

Yesterday at WWDC10, before the iPhone 4 was announced, they announced the Guitar Hero for iPhone. Now it is out now, and is 2.99 in the app store. Overall this is pretty smooth, like the game we all play on 360, PS3, and Wii. But their are a few little neat features in the game, and you can see them in the pictures and the video that we did about this app!

Neat Features:

So the neat features are the slides. Pretty much if you play an actual guitar, it’s ” Hammer On’s and Pull Off’s”. They have made it in the game for more realistic playing, even though, if you can play on expert in the game, you probably will suck on real guitar! That’s why I am not a big fan of Guitar Hero, and Rock Band. Because it takes you away from the real instruments, and to plastic controllers, or in this case, iPhone’s and iPads. But I have to say, this game is really fun, and has some good music in it, and you can buy more if you want! Enjoy the screen shots, and also watch the video to see it in action!

iPhone 4 Overview & First Impressions

So today was the day where all Apple fans were blown away with Apple’s latest creation. The iPhone 4. It’s a simple name isn’t it?

Overall I was happy with today’s event, and with the pictures below, I think you will too!

As you can see, it’s a much better design than the iPhone 3GS, it has glass on both back, and front! Stainless steel in the middle for strength! Also has a 5 MegaPixel Camera with LED flash. I love the design of this phone.

Please watch the YouTube video for more details of this phone, also look at the sweet pictures!

Samsung GenoA Unboxing

Hello everyone this is me Caleb. In this video I will be unboxing the Samsung GenoA feature phone. This is a feature phone that is sold only in Europe at the moment. It is the best for the price which being about 200 dollars with no contract. So for Turkey that is a great price.

In the box you don’t get that much. You only get the phone, the battery, a pair of Samsung headphones and a charging cable.  I would have liked them to include a micro sd card and a case for it as well. For the money thought I am not going to complain.

This phone has a 2.8 inch QVGA resistive touch screen with Samsung simple touch technology. Below the screen there are 3 physical buttons, the middle button goes back to the menu and the other buttons are used to answer and decline calls as well as turn the device off. On the right side there is a volume rocker. On the left side thought there is a lock button, a sd card slot and a camera button to take pictures with its 1.3 megapixel camera.

So everyone stay tuned to my channel for more reviews also just to add in here is that this phone is a full gsm unlooked phone and for that if you have one all you need is to pick up a special sim card for the area an dit will work just fine.

Kodak Zi8 Unboxing

(You can pick you’re self one here)

Kodak’s pocket 1080p camcorder looks like a sweet competitor to the flip cameras. I use a Sanyo Xacti VPC CG10. This is not a pocket camcorder, but it is compact enough. I believe the Sanyo has more quality, but I will save this in another video.

So we are planning to do a few videos for comparisons between different cameras and modes that it does, to give people a better understanding on what they should buy!

If you look at the video below you will see that Kodak impresses us with what they include in the box. Having a HDMI cable is heaven, since most camera just include the basic composite cables for a standard def  TV. When most people own a HDTV with support of HDMI.

Overall for first impressions of the device is that it is lightweight, feels a bit ‘plasticy’ but I like the feel of it! It feels like a thicker Black Berry.

Stay tuned for more coverage on this pocket HD camcorder! Right here on Gadget Experts!
