Windows Phone 7.8 Legacy gets unveiled

Windows Phone 8 is all shiny and new but the downfall of this software and the current users of Windows Phone devices is that no one can upgrade to this new software. The hardware is not able to support this new version of Windows Phone 8 but does Microsoft really want to leave their user base in the dry and force them to buy an entirely new device? If you love you’re current phone, rest assured Microsoft has a plan for you. They unveiled Windows Phone 7.8 Legacy which will be upgradable around the same time as Windows Phone 8 will come out, this holiday season. This will bring some features of Windows Phone 8 for the current devices running Windows Phone. We don’t know much details on what those features will be but it will be pretty neat. We can rule out the higher screen resolutions and multi-core abilities since that is pure Windows Phone 8!
