Sprint Galaxy Nexus preorders go live, arriving 4/22 for $199
Sprint has just made preorders for their version of the Galaxy Nexus live. While many might now wait for the forth coming Samsung Galaxy III announcement, if that isnt on your hit list, then listen up. The Galaxy Nexus is one of three new phones launching on Sprint’s nascent LTE network. It joins the LG Viper 4G LTE and HTC EVO 4G LTE as possible choices for consumers.
While Google should have launched the Galaxy Nexus on all four carriers instead of making it Verizon exclusive, possibly killing hype for it, the Android faithful have waited for it to come to other carriers. That wait at least for people on the Now Network is finally over. Just to recap the specs for the Galaxy Nexus include the following: a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD screen, a 5 MP camera capable of 1080p video recording, the first phone to launch with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and built in NFC. Since it is a Nexus phone, it is free of bloatware and will receive the latest bug fixes and next generation OS updates straight from Google.
You can head to the Sprint website to preorder the Galaxy Nexus. Unlike the Verizon version, this Galaxy Nexus has support for Google Wallet and when you preorder you get a $40 dollar Google Wallet credit in addition to a $10 dollar credit upon activating Google Wallet. Even though the Galaxy Nexus in regards to technology is now “behind” the curve, its still a wonderful device in its own right. A link to preorder the Nexus can be found below.
