Sense 4.0 gets detailed, starts to make ‘more’ Sense

Its no surprise that OEM’s will be adding their skins on top Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The folks over at Pocketnow had a chance to check out a non finalized build of Sense for Ice Cream Sandwich and this is what they found.

Sense 4.0 will feature Beats Audio integrated all throughout the phone and will work with 3rd party music apps, no longer just the default music app. Dropbox will also have prominence, giving you 50 GB’s when you set up your phone. After that its treated as if it were another drive on the phone. Dropbox fans will be ecstatic to hear that.

Sense 4.0 will also bring a more feature rich lock-screen with the ability to call your favorite people directly from the lockscreen as well as being able to veiw the notification shade without unlocking your phone.

One of the biggest features detailed in the upcoming Sense 4.0 is the guest mode. Have you ever been leery of letting a stranger use your phone for fear that they may look at sensitive information on your phone? With Sense 4.0′s guest mode you can determine whats apps can be used or accessed and the ability to use phone is disabled. Your data cannot be used while guest mode is active. Guest mode can be accessed like any other scene on your phone.

There are many other enhanced features of Sense 4.0 but those are just a few. Mobile World Congress should be when we see one of the first phones with Sense 4.0 on board. Our own Marco Hanna will be on the ground detailing all of the new phones and tablets as they are announced so stay tuned for that.
