As the Mango release inches closer and closer, Microsoft is doing everything they can to put that last fresh coat of paint on Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango”. One of those things is giving the boot screen a new, more “Metro” look. Gone is the Windows logo within a round circle. Its been replaced with a flat, 2-D Metro-esque “Tile” look and comes in blue, red, yellow, and green.
I feel this logo is much more in line with the entire design philosophy and is just another thing that makes Mango a more “complete” mobile OS. Be on the look out for Mango in the next two months as app submissions open up on the 22nd of August. A lunch is looking like September or early October at the latest.
