HTC Android Phones rumored to receiving PlayStation Certification later this year

HTC didn’t have a good Q4, and they admitted that it was because they put out a lot of phones that weren’t competitive and didn’t have the best battery life. HTC is looking to change that by releases fewer phones in 2012, and if an anonymous tipster from Pocket-lint has anything to say, PlayStation Certification.

Rumored to be announced at the end of this month at MWC, PlayStation certification would be the first joint venture between HTC and Sony, so far the only devices to have such certification are the Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia Acro and Sony S and P tablets. HTC has been looking to try to give their devices more differentiation by partnering with Beats Audio to give their devices extremely good sound quality. The Beats audio integration only worked in the stock music app and third party apps couldn’t use it. In an article written by myself yesterday that detailed the new Sense 4.0, Beats integration is throughout the OS and 3rd party apps can use the music enchantment.

While we might hear about this joint venture at MWC, reports say that the second half of this year is when we will finally see some devices that have the PlayStation Suite of games on board.

HTC devices code-named Ville and Endeavor might be the first Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 phones to launch. Stay tuned to GadgetExperts for more information and coverage.
