Today at the Google Maps event, Google debuted a new feature, offline Maps on Google Maps. This feature will be available soon on Google Maps for Android (hint which means iOS is left out, iMaps anyone?). This feature will allow you to save a certain size of a Map, a whole city for example and use that offline. You will not need any cellular data or WiFi to use this feature. It will download to your device and you can delete it when you’re done. If you have a GPS, it will still track you with the blue dot and a compass will show you which direction you are heading.
