iPhone 5 Larger Battery Pack Surfaces

It’s Friday everyone and we still have some more Apple leaks coming in! It seems like every year the leaks are getting more frequent! This time we got a leak of a larger iPhone battery, now we don’t have a confirmation that this battery is an iPhone battery but it looks awfully close to an iPhone battery.

This new battery is slightly taller which adds a bit more capacity. The iPhone 4S/4 has a 1430 mAh battery, this new battery has 1440 mAh. That’s only an extra 10 mAh which doesn’t sound like a huge upgrade. But you could be amazed with Apple’s wizardry. With software tweaks, they can push this new iPhone to feature a larger display, 4G LTE, and much more and still get you a great battery life.

Also, the iPhone 4S/4 battery has a voltage of 3.7, this new battery has voltage at 3.8 and its watts-per-hour (wHr) measurement has risen to 5.45 wHr from 5.3 wHr. As I said earlier, we are not sure if this part will be on the iPhone or not. It could be some prototype that will never make its way to Apple’s iPhone. According to the label, it was manufactured in June of this year, which might put this battery in late development. One thing is for sure though, we will find out soon enough!
