Final on the Palm Pre

A lot of requests on the palm pre follow up. This is a great device in terms of 1st gen, what i mean by that is the phone is not matured yet as the Iphones, they had 3 years and Apple has been tweaking until they get it right, its still not, but its close, in terms of multitasking its a great device, i love the cards, but one con i see is the battery life.
It is a phone needs to get charged twice a day if you put it in use that i do.
Touch stone wireless charger, do not even bother, twice as slow and 70 dollars? What the heck.
The phone OS is one of the best i have seen in a long time, but i still like the Apple Iphone OS.
Final verdict-
This phone gets a 9 out of 10.
A few flaws and battery life needs major improvement, still not quite up to the Iphone level in terms of phone and what you can do.

Microsoft does a Apple move

Yeah you read that right. Microsoft makes a Apple like move as in keep the same price, but bump up the memory, iphone 3gs right?
So the Xbox 360 pro 60 gigs are no longer in the making, now making the 120 gig for the same exact price. Microsoft still in the lead in the gaming world.
More updates will come as soon as we get them.

PS3 Slim and a price drop?

Sony has confirmed that the PS3 slim will come out late summer – early fall.
Following its older brother the famous PS2 the PS3 will become slimmer, lighter, sexier, and still have the same features.
Now the conflict about Sony and Activision, saying that if Sony does not drop their prices they will leave Sony so hoping that a major price drop, then Sony will up their sales.

iPhone 3GS Camera

I’ve had my iPhone 3GS for about a week now and I feel like now I may comfortably reflect. Let me share some thoughts. Be it known that I am a new AT&T subscriber, coming from Verizon (Blackberry Curve) and I never owned an iPhone 3G. However, I do own an iPod Touch 16GB.

Speed: I am impressed with the processing speed and the increased RAM  going from 128MB to 256MB. It seems to give a significant boost in speed when running graphic intensive apps. Content loading in contact lists/music lists in super snappy vs. the 3G. It’s been noticed elsewhere that video game sequences progress much smoother with faster frame rates.

OS 3.0: I’d like to group OS 3.0 in with this post. I love Copy and Paste and the approach Apple took. It took a while, but they did it right. I really hope  that the landscape keyboard is part of the 3.0 SDK. I’d like to see more Apps take advantage of landscape mode, including keyboard. My favorite demo of 3.0 was of ESPN pushing game/score updates. I’m excited to see what apps will come out. For a list of some of the newest apps using push notifications, check out this link: http://www.appadvice.com/applists/show/definitive-list-of-push-capable-apps

Camera: The camera is very nice. I must admit, my eye is using to looking at DSLR level photos. But I am quite pleased with what was produced by my iPhone 3Gs. The video camera is quite nice. Here is a video I’ve posted. I’m impressed with the ability to keep focused and not get too shaky. Overall some nice improvements. Again, I didn’t play too much with the camera on the 3G, but I’ve seen the results. Much more contrast and finer photos. The auto-focus is nice but isn’t such a wow factor. I find myself having to reset the manual focus constantly to keep the subject sharp.

Overall, I’m really enjoying the iPhone 3GS. The AT&T is a departure from Verizon, for the worse unfortunately. When I have full service, it is excellent. However this isn’t the case in my home. Hopefully the ability for the new iPhone 3GS to take advantage of the higher power AT&T networks later this year pays dividends.
